Remorse

I titled this painting Remorse because the model looks so sad. I am still trying new things with my figure paintings because there is something about some of the poses that demands my attention. This was a simple pose, but the colors are fun, a striking contrast to the attitude of the model. This is a watercolor and it is 15"x11".

Winter's Chill

There's nothing like being snuggled up in a quilt when it's cold outside. This model still looks unhappy about the cold, but I am happy that we have some rain along with the cold. Maybe she needs some hot chocolate.

Hello Morning

Hello Morning is a happy little rooster that I painted with acrylics on masonite. The colors are cheery and his attitude is cocky. He is in a show at Round Rock Art Space through the month of December. You'll know him, He's the one in the fancy green frame.

Apple x Three

I know I haven't been posting as often as I should. It doesn't mean that I haven't been working, just that I am working too much. Sometimes it is difficult to stop to take pictures and post.
This little watercolor is one that I reworked. I added the checks to the cloth because there was just too much red and I needed a little variety in the shapes. I am pretty happy with it now, but you never know what will happen. It is watercolor and the texture on the cloth is watercolor crayon.
