This is a painting that calls to me in the summer. It is a little crooked, but I think the colors work and it has good movement. I wanted to see how it looks "published" on my blog.

New Shows and Classes
2012 is flying by. Stinger Studio in Georgetown is the home of most of my work these days and Sonia is doing great. Stop by and see her gallery soon. The Group of Four Show has been at Stinger Studio since February. Our next show will be at St. David's Healing Arts Gallery in Georgetown during the months of June and July. I have also been showing a series of poppy paintings at Franklin Fine Jewelers in Georgetown just in time for the Poppy Festival next week. Then my poppies will go to the Georgetown Library for the month of May. I am teaching a class in Sun City this month and I will have a one day workshop in Austin in June. I get to practice my figure work at Windberg Art Center on Wednesdays and that has been a lot of fun.
Nancy Brandt Brown has been painting for many years and is best known for her transparent watercolors. She enjoys painting in her Georgetown, Texas studio, where she spends hours painting everything from figures and flowers to fish, exploring movement through organic shapes, vibrant colors and interesting textures. She continues to work in watercolor, but works in acrylic also.
