The good news today is that I won second place in the Georgetown Art Works Show, now up, around town, in Georgetown. My painting, Her Black Boots, won the second place award, which was quite a surprise because their were so many fine pieces in the show. Artists from surrounding towns and Austin are hearing about this great show and entering the competition. The works are varied and of quality. It is definitely worth a look...and also is a great way to purchase a piece of wonderful art.
The art is showing in The Georgetown Public Library, Abbey's, Franklin and Company Fine Jewelers, Cianfrani Coffee Company, and Quenan's Jeweler's. Georgetown could use an Art Center to showcase all the great art that is available in this community.
