Many Gifts is my new watercolor still life. It is 22" x 30". My goal with this piece was to create an interesting composition that was contemporary in contrast with the traditional objects that I have drawn carefully, but at odd angles. It is, I hope, about the treasures not the still life.
There is nothing like a colorful rooster to wake you up in the morning. This watercolor is 15" x 11".
This watercolor still life was a lot of fun. From shopping for interesting chicken pieces to designing with all the patterns it was just fun.
Tea Time is a new watercolor still life that I am working on. I am liking the soft neutrals and patterns. I don't think it is quite finished, but I am trying to blog daily, so I thought I would show my progress with this one. It is 15" x 11". 
Am I telling a story with this painting? I hope so. This model with her red hair could always get into compelling poses. I imagined a background for her that designs the space and tells her story. This figurative watercolor is 22" x 30".
As long as I am going down memory lane, I may as well visit Arizona. It is so much fun to explore warm and cool whites in watercolor. That is what this painting is all about. The texture of the cactus contrasts with the softness of the petals. I had fun with this floral. I hope it shows. This watercolor is 11.5" x 15.5".
I love the bulbs that bloom early. I remember finding them peeking through the snow when I was growing up in the panhandle of Texas. I always thought of them as a promise of renewal. Deep thoughts on a Monday morning. This is a watercolor and it is 15"x22".
