Cherries From Pat

Pat brought some cherries to share with the artists who came to my house to take a workshop with Rea Andrews.  We had a wonderful time and learned so much.  I can't wait to work with yupo paper again soon.  It is such a different surface to work on.

Sunflowers Again

I worked on this one a little more.  It reminds me of Van Gogh and his beautiful sunflowers.  I call it Thank You Van Gogh.

Looking Inside

Looking Inside to discover what treasures are there.  This is the next in the series of nonobjective abstracts.  It reminds me of digging for precious gems.  I am seeing precious gems in those who surround me.  Pretty special.

Aerie

Yes, I am stretching this summer.  I had several goals for this nonobjective abstract and I am pretty happy with the results.  I signed it, but don't think it is quite finished.  I have started another though, because I wanted to remember how I painted this one.  It is so hard to recreate a feeling when you are painting from the zone.  Anyway, this is the beginning of a journey for me.  I will try to be better about keeping up with this blog!

Thank You Van Gogh

Another summer special.  I love sunflowers in the summer but I am never satisfied, so I paint them over and over.  I am kind of liking the colors and patterns of this crockery full of large blossoms.  I hope you like it too.  It is a watercolor on hot press paper.

Summer Colors

It has been a long time, but I have been working.  I am loving patterns this summer and the umbrellas have created a pattern that I hope is fun to look at.  I love a good beach!
